Real Estate 360 Live With Louis Cammarosano 4/23/12

On Monday April 23, 2012, Louis Cammarosano, General Manager of HomeGain, was a guest on the Real Estate 360 Live radio show on The Big Talker 1580 WHFS AM, hosted by Ryan Sloper.

Ryan notes that the Fed is going to meet again next week and that many experts expect another round of quantitative easing. Louis thinks that the Fed won’t announce QE3 and that a lot of capital is flowing into the US as a result of the problems in Europe and that indeed many economists expect the US dollar to appreciate in value. Louis is not certain that is a well founded belief, but one that is prevalent.

Louis notes that an announcement of QE3 might cause a bit of a panic because it would be an admission that the recovery is not taking hold and oil prices would rise. Louis thinks that although the Fed may want to do QE3 they will probably hold off until after the election in November.  Louis notes that the average investor is either short on cash or can not save as interest rates are low so they put their money in the stock market which drives valuations higher.

Louis notes that if you really wanted a strong dollar you would want higher interest rates so people would save money and invest in treasuries, rather than the Fed printing money out of thin air to buy them and thereby devaluing the dollar. Ryan notes that the dollar is appreciating vs the Euro. Louis notes that the dollar is not however strengthening against gold silver and oil. Louis notes that the amount of gold being mined is not as great as the amount of money being printed.

Louis and Ryan note the rising rental market. Louis notes that college grads will also put pressure on the rental market as most won’t be in a position to buy homes as they have student loans to pay and poor job prospects and will more often than not be renting.  Louis notes that the American Dream of home ownership is in jeopardy for young people.

BBB Reports HomeGain Still Delivering A+ Customer Care

We received another postcard from from the Better Business Bureau (BBB) letting us know that 1,081 people inquired about in May, June, July and August 2010. The BBB states that it is “pleased to tell them that is rated A+” in customer service and in business practices.

How to Get Consumers to Select You on AgentEvaluator®

We have polled home buyers and sellers once again and we’re sharing the results in order to help our AgentEvaluator® agent members better meet the needs of prospects.

We sent our survey to more than 14,000 home buyers and sellers who came through AgentEvaluator in the last year -– some who closed with a HomeGain agent and some who did not choose a HomeGain agent.

5 Useful takeaways from the survey that all AgentEvaluator members should read:

1. Consumer Feedback on agents is one of the top things homebuyers and sellers are looking for when they use AgentEvaluator.

  • Takeaway: If you don’t have consumer feedback (reviews to say what a great job you’ve done as a Realtor) entered in your profile, get some entered today. To upload reviews, go to the Consumer Feedback section of your Proposal Templates page.

2. Most of the consumers who worked with a HomeGain agent chose that agent because of their personal response.success-meter-how-to-improve-results

  • Takeaway: As shown in both this year’s and last year’s survey, personalization has consistently been the most important reason consumers select HomeGain agents. If you ARE NOT personalizing EACH proposal to address the specific situation of the prospect you’re responding to, you should start today.

BBB Rates HomeGain A+ in Customer Service

In September 2005, I eagerly traveled to San Diego to work my first trade show for HomeGain — the California Association of Realtors annual expo. The booth was set up to the tee with newly printed literature and various giveaways (pens, highlighters, notebooks, etc.) carefully spread across the table. “This is going to be a great show, I’m going to see a lot of sales today,” I thought as visitors began to approach the booth.

However, that wasn’t the case. Every time I told someone what HomeGain did (provide marketing services and leads) I was met with one of three responses:

  1. “ Oh, you’re one of THOSE companies? I’m not going to talk to you…”
  2. “Yeah? I was with XYZ company and they screwed me. Are you them?”
  3. (I can’t repeat the 3rd response here)

I knew then that we had some work to do……this Real Estate marketing industry for years has not treated its customers very well. Whether it’s false promises, underdelivery or an overall me first attitude; public opinion of real estate marketing companies has suffered.

That’s why almost four years and several hard fought battles later; nothing pleases me more to see the A+ rating HomeGain received from the BetterBusinessBureau. The service staff at HomeGain has worked deligently over this time to ensure that its customers are taken care of.  This includes all customers we deal with; paying and free, happy and upset, everyone.  We take the time to hear out every customer and offer every possible suggestion or solution we can.

In 2005, we received probably 10 complaint emails to every compliment. Today, those numbers have switched. We now hear almost daily from agents who are satisfied with the service in addition to the success they’ve had on product. Continue reading this post
