My Day with Max, the HomeGain Gorilla

After many months of waiting, Max, the HomeGain Gorilla, agreed to meet and spend the day with me. The plan: to uncover the life of a spokes-gorilla and learn more about our friend Max (no monkey business).

I was able to catch Max in between press appearances. Max and I took the HomeGain Jet to an undisclosed location and began our day at the local Starbucks, where we casually discussed his HomeGain role, thoughts on blogging, agent tips for this market, etc.

I briefly mentioned that I’m looking to make the most of this market and have been considering options for moving up. Max gladly booted up his laptop and showed me how to utilize the tools on HomeGain to estimate my home’s value. We also contacted an agent and found a couple of great listings in my area. Max even accompanied me to an open house.

Max Visits ActiveRain Without an Umbrella

Max, the HomeGain gorilla is making an appearance at real estate agent blogging site ActiveRain with a message – “Blogging not delivering enough business? Boost buyer traffic with HomeGain’s BuyerLink program.”

Max has been busy appearing on the Google Content Network and more recently on Inman News.

When asked as to the wisdom of visiting ActiveRain with a message that is probably antithetical to most of ActiveRain’s user base Max replied, “I too am against blogging – but not for the reasons given in The Case Against Blogging. You see, I am against it because I can’t do it. I was born with these gorilla paws and can’t use a keyboard and so far no speech recognition software translates my gorillaese.”

Max’s appearance on ActiveRain marks just the beginning of “Plan B”.

No Limits at 2007 NAR Expo?

HomeGain MAXThe approximately 2,000 Realtors® who came by our booth at the 2007 National Association of Realtors® Convention & Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada last week, that’s who!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the HomeGain booth! It was our busiest and most successful event ever.

We handed out TomTom™ One GPS navigation systems, $50 American Express® gas cards, remote control cars, and, of course, orange gorillas.

Everything except the gorillas fell under our theme “drive your success.”

We met Realtors® who never heard of HomeGain, and who were very excited to hear about how they can receive more traffic with BuyerLink, reach home sellers with AgentView, get 20 guaranteed home buyer leads with AIMS, and market themselves online to home buyer and home seller leads with AgentEvaluator.

It was also NAR’s largest show in history, with a record-breaking 744 exhibitors and 31,000+ attendees.
