Max at Center of Yahoo! / Microsoft battle
HomeGain announced today a marketing deal with Yahoo! Real Estate featuring Max, the HomeGain Gorilla.
Earlier this month Microsoft offered to buy Yahoo! for nearly $45 billion dollars.
Google quickly came to the aid of Yahoo!.
Now Yahoo! has another ally, Max! Starting today Max will be appearing in selected spots on the Yahoo! Real Estate channel . (shown left)
To complicate matters, HomeGain has also opened discussions with AOL Real Estate for similar Max placement.
Industry watchers believe that Microsoft’s bid for Yahoo was launched in part because it got word of the pending Max/Yahoo! alliance and didn’t want to get shut out of the Max action.
Max seemed to take all the attention in stride.
