Top 5 “Sealed Deals” Cities
Part 1
Few major decisions in life seem to be as monumental as moving to a new town and buying a home, or even buying a home in one’s existing town.

Those of us who work daily with homebuyers recognize the daunting task house hunting presents to many a homebuyer.
Many consumers of all products want to be on the leading edge of the latest buying trends. How many of us stood in line to grab the iPhone and the Nintendo Wii. The same can be said for home buying.
Not only do buyers want to locate in the hottest areas, but many assume there’s an ultimate financial payoff in being on the leading edge. Buy into an “up and coming area” the theory goes, and you can enjoy the thrill of watching your Pied-a-Terre appreciate in value.
As a Realtor who wants to earn repeat business and referrals from happy customers, it may prove beneficial for us to help our home buyers situate in growth areas, and not declining areas.
It’s interesting that of HomeGain’s most active metro areas for home buying in 2007, three are East Coast cities, Washington DC, Atlanta and Philadelphia. Chicago in the Midwest and Dallas in the South round out the top five. read more
On the Road to Real Estate Blogging
Blogging can help your real estate business! It’s true.
The benefits of real estate blogging are fast becoming more apparent and agreed upon in the industry.

Starting and maintaining a blog can help you create an online presence, become the niche expert for your market area, connect with your sphere, grow your online network, initiate community interaction, and make you a better real estate agent overall.
But don’t blog because I said so, do it because you are excited about sharing your expertise and putting forth the required effort. Understand that you’re not just making a time and money commitment, but a commitment to a blog’s life.
Think long and hard about your niche or concept before just jumping into the blogosphere without direction. Trust me: it’s much easier with a roadmap. read more
The Website Leap of Faith
In this month’s Agent Success Newsletter, we feature Brian E Kinkade with Cherry Creek Professionals Realty in Colorado.
Something significant took place with Brian’s business this year that has resulted in a huge increase in his real estate business. In fact, it became necessary for him to transition from being a “part-timer” into becoming a full-time REALTOR® in order to accommodate all his new clients!
Brian tells the story of how it happened:
Until recently, my business efforts were based primarily on what other real estate agents were doing, and frankly, my business wasn’t growing like I wanted. I was doing a mediocre job at working Internet leads from a “so-so” website.
It wasn’t until I found Myers and HomeGain that my business started growing exponentially. This is all about the power of the Internet. read more
No Limits at 2007 NAR Expo?
Who would want to win an orange gorilla?
The approximately 2,000 Realtors® who came by our booth at the 2007 National Association of Realtors® Convention & Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada last week, that’s who!
Thank you to everyone who stopped by the HomeGain booth! It was our busiest and most successful event ever.
We handed out TomTom™ One GPS navigation systems, $50 American Express® gas cards, remote control cars, and, of course, orange gorillas.
Everything except the gorillas fell under our theme “drive your success.”
Were you at the Expo? Were you able to stop by our booth? Let us know what you thought!
