Part 1 (14:10)
Ryan defines and discusses Operation Twist. Louis notes that rolling the short term securities into long term creates demand for the ten year note but that it does not necessarily result in lower mortgage rates. Louis notes that the current low interest rates prohibits savings and encourages more borrowing. Louis notes that consumers need more availability to credit the way a drunkard needs happy hour extended.
Part 2 (12:16)
Louis notes that savings and production are the signs of a good economy not spending. Ryan and Louis discuss the benefits of getting a long term low interest rate mortgage to protect against future inflation. Louis notes the the US owes 16 trillion dollars and over $100 trillion in unfunded liabilities and therefore suggests that the US can never repay it absent continued debasement of the currency which will lead to more money printing and more inflation. Louis discusses the constitutionality of Obamacare.
Part 3 (12:17)
Ryan notes that new home sales reached a two year high. Louis notes that home builders are competing with existing home sales. Louis notes that interest rate will stay low as sovereign need rates to stay low as they could not afford higher rates. Louis notes that banks don’t really invest with their capital but rather trade. Louis notes that this type of activity does not create goods or services or jobs. Louis notes that stimulus and low interest rates have not helped the people. Louis notes that sovereign’s have been over leveraged for quite some time and only recently have the markets started paying attention.

Ryan and Louis discuss the increase in short sales. Louis asks whether banks can be sued for not receiving the same sort of short sale offer as others.
