Jay Thompson is a real estate broker and avid blogger.

After 20 years in the semiconductor manufacturing industry, Jay made a career change to real estate. He quickly realized that the Internet was the way of the future. He taught himself HTML and SEO, and built ThompsonsRealty.com on the Point2 Agent platform, which is now the #1 website worldwide in the Point2 Agent network (based on the Point2 Performance Index).

Jay launched his real estate weblog, The Phoenix Real Estate Guy in 2005. However, he also contributes to other real estate blogs including Bloodhound Blog, Zillow’s Geek Estate Blog, and the Phoenix Real Estate Technology Exchange weblog.

He recently founded NARWisdom.com, a weblog venue for real estate professionals to openly discuss the National Association of Realtors®. Jay is also the founder of Realty Tech Help, a consulting business established to help real estate agents improve their online presence, optimize Point2 Agent websites and set up real estate blogs.

Jay graduated Summa Cum Laude from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management.
