MAX Returns Home

Takes up Residence in New Home Built By HomeGain Employees

Max, the HomeGain Gorilla, returned home today from an extended trip where he was visiting distant relatives in the Volcano National Park in Rwanda. Late last month, Max’s motor tour was interrupted and he was shuttled out of the country as a precautionary health measure to ensure he would not have a repeat episode of the severe reaction he had when HomeGain announced the launch of Agent Profiles. When Max learned of the agent profile feature and the attendant media frenzy, Max suffered heart palpitations and fell out of his tree.

HomeGain General Manager, Louis Cammarosano, stated, “Upon his return to Emeryville, Max was informed of the news of the launch of the HomeGain Agent Blogging Network under the supervision of his personal veterinarian, Dr. Wolliz.” Max appeared to take the news of the HomeGain Agent Blogging Network launch in stride commenting, “I am not surprised at all. I’ve come to expect immense innovation from HomeGain. Please pass the jelly beans.”

Max was also informed that the HomeGain employees had built Max a house to specifications he had submitted in an AgentEvaluator proposal. Upon seeing his dream home Continue reading this post

Use HomeGain To Blog

HomeGain Launches the HomeGain Agent Blogging Network

Back in February, Brian Brady famously asked whether real estate agents should use HomeGain or blog.

We can file that one under no longer relevant questions.

Starting today, HomeGain real estate agents can now use HomeGain to blog!

Early this morning we launched a free consumer-facing blogging service for our hundreds of AgentView customers.

The free, bundled Agent Blogs form a part of the HomeGain Blog and are also accessible through HomeGain’s free instant home valuation tool and from HomeGain.com.

HomeGain AgentView agents Profiles and Blogs are featured exclusively in an ad-free environment.

Louis Cammarosano, General Manager of HomeGain, said of the announcement, “The Case Against Blogging has been settled out of court. We have learned through our own efforts that blogging can be a useful marketing tool.”

“Since the success of our agent customers is HomeGain’s mission, we wish to provide them with blogs of their own to supplement the visitors, phone calls, emails and leads that we send them,” Louis continued. “The Agent Blogs offer AgentView real estate agents yet another contact point with potential home buyers and sellers and further lessens the reliance on the lead form as a way of attracting potential prospects.”

Max, the (sub) human face of HomeGain is on a safari holiday in the Volcano National Park in Rwanda visiting distant relatives.

“After what happened when we announced Agent Profiles,” continued Cammarosano, “we decided to play it safe. On the advice of Max’s personal veterinarian, Dr. Wolliz, we arranged to interrupt Max’s motor tour and to send him out of the country. We intend to notify Max of the creation of the HomeGain Agent Blogging Network when he returns, but only while under the observation of Dr. Wolliz.”

In the coming months we will be adding syndicated content to supplement our real estate agents’ blogging efforts.

Real estate professionals interested in joining the HomeGain Agent Blogging Network can claim their Agent Blog by clicking on the “Get Max Results” image to the right under “Product Spotlight”. Continue reading this post

Max, The HomeGain Gorilla Hits the Road In San Francisco and Phoenix

Equipped with a few cases of coconut milk and a half dozen jars of jelly beans, Max hit the road today on a “What’s Your Home Worth?” awareness campaign.

Max has been raising his profile as part of a continuing series of “Plan B” responses to the Cars.com Superbowl ads back in January.

Since the Superbowl, Max has been seen with increasing frequency on ActiveRain, Inman News, Sellsius Blog and Yahoo! Real Estate.

“We definitely want to emphasize the “Max Factor” in our marketing,” said Louis Cammarosano, General Manager of HomeGain.

“When Jessica Gopalakrishnan, our Senior Marketing Manager, came up with the idea of sending Max on the road I was hesitant. I know Max, he is a proud gorilla. I was concerned that Max Continue reading this post

HomeGain Invents Agent Profiles

The world changed forever this morning.

Today, HomeGain launched a new feature for its AgentView program, the first in a series of three revolutionary upgrades.

Starting today, real estate agents will have the ability to load their personal profiles, their “Agent Profiles”, right onto HomeGain.

This is the future of real estate marketing. It is also the future of how we will lead our lives and how our grandchildren will lead their lives.

“We are as excited about this groundbreaking feature as we were when we impacted the entire universe when we launched the first instant home valuation tool back in 2000, a tool that launched a few Zimitators,” stated HomeGain General Manager, Louis Cammarosano.

“I was meeting with a few hundred of our product managers the other day,” continued Mr. Cammarosano, “and we were thinking, ‘how can we present our agents’ best foot forward, how can we do something that has never been done before?’

Then it hit us all at once in a collective fit of the type of mass innovation that is common at HomeGain—“Agent Profiles”. Continue reading this post

Relationship Building in Real Estate: Max Says Don’t Be Pushy

Max the HomeGain gorilla arrived by mail over the weekend and we had a long discussion about lead management.

HomeGain MAX

He carried on and on about orange being consumers’ favorite color, even tried to talk me into using an orange font color to write this, but one thing he said that really hit home is that consumers don’t like to be pushed.

It might seem odd that a gorilla is concerned about pushing, but he has a point.
I don’t like to be pushed.

From what I’ve learned about “systems” if you push the system to get what you want, the system pushes back, until you find the right leverage to get results. In this case, if an agent pushes his lead management system to get immediate results, the system pushes back.

Leads are set up to receive information and then, in their own time, act on that information and hopefully use your services. I believe consumers look at a company like HomeGain as Continue reading this post
