The Website Leap of Faith

This year something significant took place that resulted in a huge increase in my business.

The Leap of Faith

In fact, it became necessary for me to transition from being a “part-timer” into becoming a full-time REALTOR® in order to accommodate all my new clients!

Here’s how it happened.

Until recently, my business efforts were based primarily on what other agents were doing, and frankly, my business wasn’t growing like I wanted. I was doing a mediocre job at working Internet leads from a “so-so” website.

It wasn’t until I found Myers and HomeGain that my business started growing exponentially. This is all about the power of the Internet.

My Myers site gives me a professional Internet presence, great uptime, ease of administration and a lot of flexibility to personally customize my website.

With HomeGain’s BuyerLink™ program, my pay-per-click advertising campaigns are very easy to manage – easier than Google and Yahoo! BuyerLink™ brings more traffic to my website so I can capture leads through my website and convert them into clients – and not just in my area, but nationwide!

As a result of my Myers website, the relationships in the Myers community, the courses I’ve taken, and BuyerLink, my lead conversion has grown to between 10 to 15%—and my business is up 100%.

After drawing traffic to my site, of course, my goal is to convert a visitor into a lead. The trick to this is to give the visitor something valuable in exchange for getting them to register and stay.

When a prospect registers, I then “bond” with them through periodic personal communication and by including them in my email campaigns. I also have a monthly newsletter distribution program from I searched Realty Times into which I put every new lead so they will receive a monthly newsletter from me.

Looking back over my visitor statistics since last August, I’ve achieved an average of 216,534 monthly hits and an average of 7,505 unique visitors per month. It was initially a leap of faith to believe that “If I build it, they will come”.

Now at least 80% of my business is derived from my website. I’m almost to the point where I’m surprised when I get business from any other source.

A strong lead generating website and presence, along with sturdy campaigns, and a marketing partner like HomeGain, have resulted in more closings and a more successful real estate business than I ever expected.
