Hear Success Tips for 2009: “Ask The Experts” Forum

Posted by: Jessica Gopalakrishnan on December 5th, 2008

HomeGain hosted its second “Ask The Experts” live real estate forum yesterday. Due to the success of the August Ask The Experts, HomeGain kept to its original format and featured four experts to each speak on a different real estate issue and answer questions from the audience.

Several hundred real estate agents and brokers registered for the event to listen to Mitch Ribak, Alisha Wade, Joseph Ferrara and Brian Brady give advice for succeeding in a turbulent market.

If you weren’t able attend, or would like to hear it again, you can listen to the December 4th Ask The Experts recording at your convenience.

What was each experts topic?

Mitch Ribak of Tropical Realty of Suntree and eHomes Realty Network (and also a BuyerLink agent) spoke on the topic of Web Lead Conversion, which included:

  • Setting up a Free Foreclosure List capture form on your website
  • Sending an email to your entire database featuring the Top 10 foreclosures in each price category
  • Organizing first-time buyer seminars
  • Sending a “just checking in” email to your database.
  • Calling every lead in your database who has accessed listings you have sent in the last 30 days

Alisha Wade of RE/MAX Achievers in Arizona and Realty One Group in Nevada (and a long-time AgentEvaluator Platinum Club agent) delivered advice on how to handle foreclosures:

  • Educating the client
  • Differences between an REO property and a short sale
  • What is “As Is”?
  • Bank addendums
  • Title company (location)
  • Late fees
  • Inspections
Joseph Ferrara of Sellsius Real Estate Blog (and Blog Professor for the AgentView network) discussed how to be more successful with a real estate blog. Highlights included:
  • Topics to blog
  • Promoting your real estate blog
  • SEO
  • Conversion
Brian Brady of World Wide Credit Corporation (World Wide Wealth Advisors) gave advice on mortgage and financial investment for success in 2009, which included a step by step process:
  1. Start with the goal in mind
  2. Suggest real estate as an asset class for long-term appreciation
  3. Determine amount available for investment
  4. Calculate needed return to meet goal
  5. Calculate needed IRR
  6. Gain commitment

Visit Mitch’s Blog to hear Brian’s comprehensive 40-minute financial planning strategy session.

We’d like to thank all of the experts for their valuable information and insight — and all attendees for their participation!

We look forward to seeing you at the next Ask The Experts on March 19, 2009.

Wow it is great to see you have put such a great panel of experts together. That is quite the accomplishment in and off itself.
