“I recently signed up for your AgentEvaluator and AgentView programs. I see that you have assigned toll-free numbers to my accounts and wanted to ask how this works and what the benefit is to me since I already have numbers to direct consumers to call me.”

ANSWER:

Thank you for your question. We understand your concern about duplicate telephone numbers and would like to clarify how and why we supplied all our AgentEvaluator and AgentView clients toll-free numbers.

HomeGain’s primary goal is to match online consumers with real estate professionals. We have found that consumers are more likely to pick up the phone to contact an agent if they are provided a toll-free number.

When a consumer picks up the phone and contacts you directly, we feel that is even better than a consumer responding to an AgentEvaluator proposal or to an AgentView blog post. Once they are on the phone, you can qualify them and get right to the heart of their situation.

HomeGain supplies up to four toll-free numbers to an agent if the agent subscribes to both the AgentEvaluator and AgentView programs. One toll-free number connects to your cell phone and one to your office phone. The transition for the consumer to either your cell or office phone is seamless.

By logging into your account on www.homegain.com, you can view the statistics we compile about the telephone calls made via the toll-free numbers. There is a tab toward the top of the main page in your account which is titled Statistics.

When you click on the quantity of calls received during a month, you can see the date and time a call was made. You can see the length of the call and the city and state from which the call was made. In some cases, the street address is displayed.

So, even if you miss the call, there is a record of the call and you can contact the consumer later. It is a good habit to log into your account frequently to check on new activity.
