The Value of Professional Networking

Last week Mitch Ribak, Founder of eHomesRealtyNetwork and MelboureHomeSearch.com, visited our team here in Denver, Colorado for a training and knowledge transfer exercise. Mitch and I have been keeping in touch since November 2006 after I met Mitch resulting from one of HomeGain’s Winning Agent Calls.

When I first met Mitch I was just a team of one trying to figure out this whole Internet Marking thing. I was reasonably comfortable with the website development, however I was struggling with how do I bring customers to my website and then convert them to leads then to clients and closings. A friend of mine had connected me to HomeGain’s BuyerLink product so there I was.

I had a website and some good marketing but now what do I do with it?

The same month after listening to Mitch’s presentation I had my first Internet client under contract. Yippee! I was on the running to making my first million, NOT.

With much continued effort I continued to find limited success, touching base with Mitch once every 3-4 months when I would find myself struggling the most. He would help me get over the hump then I would hit the ground running again. Continue reading this post

A good part of my job is talking with Realtors. In my conversations I learn some fascinating insights as to how particular Realtors came to become Realtors.

Knowing their backgrounds gives you an understanding as to why they approach their businesses the way they do.

HomeGain Rolls Out the Red Carpet for AgentView

To commence the launch of AgentView, HomeGain’s latest marketing product for real estate professionals, HomeGain had some fun and rolled out the red carpet for the folks in the Emeryville, California headquarters!

As people came down the red carpet, they were handed a pair “3-view” glasses so they could enjoy the 3-D presentation of AgentView on the big screen, and hear about the three main benefits that Realtors experience as an AgentView customer.

In line with AgentView’s key feature of showcasing agents on the Internet, Walk This Way by Aerosmith rocked the room during the unveiling.

As shown in the photo above, Security was also provided to ensure excitement levels stayed at a reasonable level and that Max didn’t return from Paris early and get out of control.

Already this week AgentView has been getting positive feedback from real estate agents, brokers, and the real estate and web 2.0 communities, including Bloodhound Blog, Sellsius Blog, Notorious R.O.B., Real Estate Radio USA and Inman News regarding the product itself as well as the customer service that supports it.
